Onibi Secures Strategic Funding

Onibi, an independent game studio with a distributed team across San Francisco, London, and Bordeaux, has closed a strategic funding round to accelerate development of its AI-powered open-world multiplayer RPG, Tomo: Endless Blue. The company, which specializes in AI-native game development, is utilizing proprietary models to generate unique villages, cultures, NPCs, and dynamic story arcs for players.

This funding round was co-led by Thailand-based SeaX Ventures and France-based Pix Capital.

Onibi plans to use the new capital to accelerate the development of Tomo: Endless Blue toward a full commercial launch and to support an upcoming Alpha launch on Kickstarter. The funds will also support the expansion of the studio's strategy in Asia and the growth of its community.

Founded by Benjamin Devienne, Onibi is an AI-native game studio building an open-world RPG platform that uses proprietary AI models to enable players to generate content through prompts. The studio's long-term vision is to establish a user-generated content platform where players can build complex RPG experiences using AI-assisted tools. The team comprises industry veterans with experience at major studios including those behind Fortnite, League of Legends, and Baldur's Gate 3.
