Beacon Raises $225M Series C

Beacon, based in Toronto and San Francisco, is a company building an AI-native business operating system to modernize the technical infrastructure of essential industries in the everyday economy. The company recently announced a $225 million Series C round, bringing its total funding raised to over half a billion dollars in the last year.

This round was led by General Catalyst and HarbourVest, with participation from Lightspeed, Intrepid Growth Partners, Valiant Peregrine, BDT & MSD Partners' affiliated funds, Journey LP, and Sator Grove.

The new capital will be used to advance the development of its AI-native business operating system and to support the continued acquisition of mission-critical businesses to integrate into its platform.

Founded by CEO Nilam Ganenthiran, Beacon focuses on modernizing essential businesses by acquiring them and integrating them into a shared software platform. The company embeds AI across engineering and operations workflows to improve productivity and customer outcomes.
