InfoHawk Raises $2.25M Pre-seed

InfoHawk, based in Austin, Texas, is an AI platform designed to detect and neutralize online deception and scams at internet scale. The company has announced the closing of a $2.25 million pre-seed financing round.

The funding round was led by Moonshots Capital, an early-stage venture firm. Additional participants included former Federal Trade Commission Chairman Jon Leibowitz, AppNexus founder Brian O'Kelley, former head of ads at Meta Rob Goldman, Centigrade founder and CEO James Walker, former VP of ads safety and privacy at Google Scott Spencer, GitHub CTO Vlad Fedorov, and former VP of Product for WhatsApp Nikila Srinivasan.

InfoHawk intends to use the capital to further develop its AI-driven platform and scale its infrastructure for detecting, analyzing, and neutralizing online fraud and deceptive content for enterprises.

Founded in 2026 by Rob Leathern, Ben Poiesz, and Jamie McCrindle, InfoHawk provides an AI-powered software platform that combines content detection with infrastructure mapping to protect brands and users against deepfakes, account compromises, and digital impersonation.
