Niteshift Raises $7M Seed
Niteshift, an AI coding agent startup, has raised $7 million in a seed funding round. The company focuses on providing infrastructure for developers that allows for model independence, ensuring companies can use various AI models without being locked into a single provider.
The round was led by Greylock’s Jerry Chen. Additional participating investors include Reid Hoffman, Olivier Pomel, Alexis Le-Quoc, Ankur Goyal, and Misha Laskin.
The company plans to use the new capital to continue building its AI coding cloud platform, which routes between different AI models based on project needs to maintain autonomy and reduce reliance on individual model makers.
Founded in 2026 by Sajid Mehmood and Conor Branagan, both formerly of Datadog, Niteshift offers an infrastructure platform for AI coding agents. The company enables businesses to integrate, run, and maintain AI-generated code while remaining independent of specific model providers like OpenAI or Anthropic.
