Rapido Raises $240M Growth Capital

Rapido, based in India, a mobility platform providing bike taxi, auto-rickshaw, and cab services, has raised $240 million in a funding round. The investment values the company at $3 billion on a post-money basis.

This funding round was led by Prosus, a global consumer internet group and technology investor.

Rapido plans to use the capital to expand its presence in high-growth regions by unlocking new demand corridors, strengthening its supply chain, building new technologies, and expanding its multi-modal footprint.

Founded in 2015 by Aravind Sanka and his co-founders, Rapido operates as a one-stop mobility platform in India. The company focuses on redefining first- and last-mile connectivity through a technology-enabled ecosystem that supports bike taxis, auto rickshaws, cabs, parcel deliveries, and food delivery, while providing flexible earning opportunities for its drivers.
