ShopAgentic Raises €1.9M Pre-seed

ShopAgentic, based in Hannover, Germany, is a software company developing a native agentic commerce system that enables retailers to interact with AI agents. The company recently announced a €1.9 million pre-seed funding round to support the development of its commerce infrastructure.

The funding round was co-led by May Ventures, an early-stage venture capital fund focused on AI-native startups, and Greenfield Capital, a European blockchain venture firm. The round also included a syndicate of strategic angel investors including Jochen Krisch, Sven Rittau, Andreas Schenk, Boris Lokschin, Andy Lenz, Thomas Gottheil, Peter Wolff, Peter McCoy, Tony DiPaolo, and Stefan Wenzel.

The newly raised capital will be used to accelerate product development, deepen integrations across the commerce ecosystem, and expand the team ahead of a broader market launch.

Founded in 2025 by Alexander Ringsdorff and Kai-Thomas Krause, ShopAgentic provides a platform consisting of specialized AI agents that handle specific commerce functions like catalog management, dynamic pricing, and fulfillment. The company aims to help brands transition to an agentic-first world without requiring full platform replatforming.
